“Their movements are disjointed and staggering, lacking the lively pecking and scratching of living chickens. Instead, they lurch forward with stiff, uneven gaits, their talons clicking against the ground with a hollow, ominous sound. Some might drag a broken wing or limp on a half-decayed leg, yet they persist, driven by some primal, mindless hunger. Their clucks and squawks are replaced by guttural, rasping moans or eerie, guttural hisses that echo through a quiet barnyard, chilling anyone who hears them. If they peck, it’s not for grain but for flesh, perhaps turning on each other or any living creature unlucky enough to cross their path, their beaks stained with dark, crusted residue.”
No not really they are a cross of Ayam Cemani and white leghorns. They may have dark skin with white feathering which creates a truly spectacular looking chicken. They will be great layers because my leghorns give me a large egg a day.
